Siriraj Genomics Center Hosts "Kidney Omics Seminar" to Advance Genetic Nephrology and the Kid-Gene-VAI Initiative

The Siriraj Genomics Center, in collaboration with the Division of Nephrology (Department of Medicine) and the Division of Nephrology (Department of Pediatrics), was honored to host Professor Andrew Mallett, Nephrologist and Professor of Medicine at James Cook University, Australia.

Professor Mallett joined us to share his valuable insights through an engaging seminar entitled "Kidney Omics Seminar: Unique aspect in genetic nephrology for variant scientist."

Held at the Siriraj Medical Research Center (SiMR), the session provided deep-dive knowledge and real-world experience in kidney genetics, offering crucial insights into how Thailand can learn from Australia's established model and clinical experience in genetic nephrology.

Furthermore, this seminar served as a pivotal platform to advance the Kid-Gene-VAI project by fostering multidisciplinary collaboration and strengthening professional networks among adult nephrologists, pediatric nephrologists, laboratory researchers, and variant scientists.

The event took place in a warm, collaborative atmosphere, featuring insightful lectures and lively academic discussions aimed at expanding the frontiers of genetic kidney disease care.
